Adapted from an antique piece of a traditional Central Asian embroidery design, this print features a growing vine of pomegranates and flowers. Its curving shape and set repeat is very typical of and likely derived from early Ottoman Empire brocades and velvet designs.

Screen printing gives the pattern bold color and shading, and hand guided embroidery adds dimension, texture and details.
