The Cross has been a fan of Amanda Vogler for years {she also happens to be my beautiful and talented sister!}. Her delicate designs have captivated the hearts of many and keep them coming back for the latest of her stunning designs on a regular basis.
INTERVIEW:
TC-How long have you been designing jewellery?
AV-It's been 10 years professionally now.
TC-How have your designs changed over the years?
AV-I love making simple and delicate pieces, but my work has definitely become more detailed and intricate over the years. I sometimes like to re-introduce some pieces from past collections, simply because they are timeless and classic.
TC-From where do you draw inspiration for your collections?
AV-Inspiration comes to me through fashion, nature and mostly the gemstones themselves. The gemstones that I use have to be very high quality. Nothing inspires me less than poor quality gemstones, I won't use them.
TC-How do you balance motherhood and your business?
AV-Not particularly well unfortunately! I focus my days on my family and when I have time to myself I often make a break for some retail therapy or catch up with friends, therefore I often find myself working late into the night. Time management is my biggest challenge…It's something that I need to work on!
TC-In what direction do you see your collection going?
AV-The way it has always gone, a natural evolution in style that isn't forced, I think that's how my jewellery remains classic. Eventually I would love to make gorgeous rings.

We’ve got a crush on Jenna Lyons…we fell hard when we were introduced to her townhouse and personal style in domino magazine. Her luscious pad is conveniently located in New York, as Jenna is the Creative Director of J.Crew. We love everything about this space, the bones of the house are incredible to start, and in the living room this antique chandelier seems to be the perfect touch of drama and while the wax candles give it a rustic quality. The clean lines of modern furnishings in this glamorous space are perfection, paired with the enviable mix of antiques and thoughtful layering, this gives the space a lived in feel. A brave yet so livable palette of Black, White and Yellow! We have to say, she made a bold move on the sofa, and it looks incredible. 
What a fabulous idea for a child’s ceiling. Jenna said she thought about what her baby would be looking at from the crib perspective and came up with these stimulating stripes. Genius and thoughtful!
LOVING this closet (what?!) complete with a rainbow coloured shoe collection… such a beautiful mess, and who can’t LOVE a husband that approves a room/closet…come on!
