Mexico Love
Just look at these colours! Makes everything O.K.

I was recently photographed in my Yaletown condo for a local newspaper called The Westender, for an article called ‘My Digs’ that features Vancouverites in their homes. The article will be featured in the March 25th edition of the newspaper.

Here are a few behind the scenes shots from the photoshoot with Mr. Doug Shanks, the photographer assigned to the story.

I decided to ‘spring up’ my place with a few dashes of hot pink. With an all-white pallette it’s easy to change up my look from season to season. So far I love the results! What do you think?

We want to share with you a sneak peek at what we are dreaming up for our condo at Millennium Water. Eight design firms have been chosen to design a display suite on the former Olympic Village site, and The Cross is one of them. The project is called Avenues of the World, where the public will be given the opportunity to tour this vibrant new neighbourhood in Vancouver. Guests will be issued a ‘passport’ and can visit the eight homes each with a different theme. We won’t reveal ours quite yet…but think modern-day Paris!
Here are some images we took at the presentation center currently located at 212 West 1st Avenue in Vancouver:

And here is the floor plan of our home:

Here’s the ‘mood’ board and Peter experimenting with the scale of a chair we are designing in this pink fabric!

Launch date for Millennium Water and Avenues of The World is May 8th 2010, stay tuned!

Here’s an example of upcycling ‘Granny’s’ chair in a current and modern way. With a slick coat of white paint, and a classic and sleek silk upholstery job, this chair would make granny proud! Approx 4 yards of fabric required.
Inspired by this image she found in a favourite magazine, and with a few modifications to suit her taste, the finished chair now sits proudly in co-owner Darci’s bedroom. She chose the turquoise and ivory Ikat fabric to add texture and interest to the all white bedroom. 6 Yards required~see similar here
This stunning white velvet headboard became a reality from this image brought to us by a client. This has now become one of our bestsellers! You can find it here.

We have long admired this classic Berger armchair covered in this luxurious graphic fabric from the David Hicks collection. Finally we found the right candidate to apply it to in this beautiful gold antique cane back chair. Don’t you think this turned out beautifully?

From a raw frame to “Sky is the Limit” on this cute-as-a-button footstool. We have taken a classic raw oval Louis base (also comes in square), finished it with modern white paint and covered it in the latest Boussac fabric in black and white. Not too shabby!
This stool is a great place to start when you are looking to add something bold and extraordinary to freshen up a room. The options we have in our Design Center are LIMITLESS!
