Have you ever wondered what our pillow process is like? Here’s the story on “the life of a Cross Pillow”!
Our pillows at The Cross have a cult like following. We have the most sumptuous fabrics and the most delectable colours for any decor palette. The fabrics are hand picked by us if they evoke a certain feeling or mood.
1~The First STEP is choosing the fabric for the front and back of the pillow:
2~Then we measure and cut the fabric to size and center the pattern whenever possible:
3~One of our talented seamstresses will pick up the cut fabric and take it home to sew:
4~Once we receive the newly sewn and pressed pillow back into the shop we stuff it with a sumptuous feather pillow with our specific ‘perfect corners’ technique!

This weekend’s launch was a HUGE success, we had HUNDREDS of visitors to the suite in merely a few short hours after the doors opened. At one point, there was over an hour’s wait to get in! Thank you so much for all your support. We are feeling the love!

Okay, so I know we’ve been talking a lot about the Millennium Water Development (the beautiful site of the Athletes Village during the Winter 2010 Olympic Games) and our involvement in the design but we wanted to give you all the details so you can get down there and see these suites! Finally!
On May 15th, 2010 Millennium Water development will unleash their latest project ‘Avenues of The World‘ They have hired 9 of Vancouver’s best Interior Design firms to design the interiors of 9 different suites. We were so honored to be included in that category!
Peter (lead designer at The Cross) and the team have been working away to get this suite ready for the launch. We are so Proud to give you this sneak peek of the suite!
Here’s how it works:
On May 15th The Millennium Water Development will be open to the public.
Entry is FREE! Pick up your ‘Passport’ with a map, so you don’t miss a thing, at The Millennium Water Presentation Center – 1693 Manitoba Street (at West 1st)
This a self-guided tour. You are welcome to spend as little or as much time as possible at each suite.

~Call to book an appointment with a Registry Expert or drop in the store and ask for assistance.
~Enjoy a refreshment while you pick out your registry wishes. We can help you make some choices if you like!
~Hand your list to over our Registry Expert and we will create a lovely package to send to you and your event attendees.
~Your guests will receive that same enjoyable and exceptional service when they come to purchase gifts for you. We will update you on what items have been purchased from your list, and inform you when you need to add more gifts to your registry.
~Your guests can take advantage of our complimentary gift-wrapping service and can choose to take the gift with them or leave your packages with The Cross until you’re ready to take delivery of them.
~We will have your silver rattle engraved with your new baby’s name and date of birth and it will be delivered to your home.

Wow, it’s finally all coming together! The Cross’ French Provincial themed suite at The Millennium Water Development has been a real work in progress but It’s going to be so worth it! Peter has been working hard to get everything together in time for the Grand Opening in May 15th!
