All things baby! part I

In our first installment of all things baby we are featuring the delightful work of Canadian artist Lori-Joy Smith.

Lori-Joy modestly says on her blog “I’m an artist and illustrator and mother of 2 young girls, living in Charlottetown, P.E.I.“  Yes, absolutely she is all of those things and she is also a lovely and beautiful girl with a gentle soul. Her paintings are beyond charming (and customizable!) and her candid blog posts tell the tale of a busy and caring mom, who desperately finds the time to fuel her passion and create the art that she loves.

I couldn’t resist purchasing 12 of her paintings for Hudson’s room soon after he was born. Lori-Joy happily worked within my colour specifications of blue, orange, green and brown (the colours of his favourite sock monkey). Here are a few of the adorable paintings that she came up with:
