Marketing Assistant

You are a Cross super-fan. You love creating beautiful things and capturing every moment along the way.  You live and breath social media and are positive and upbeat. You are not shy in front of a camera and you shine behind it too. (or at least want to learn!)  You’re excited to join an energetic team and dive into a ton of exciting work. You’re a creative thinker, a multi tasker and you love a fast paced environment.

  • Assisting in creating beautiful social content.
  • Taking beautiful product photos.
  • Assisting in photoshoot prep and set up for marketing campaigns.
  • Engaging with our customers on our Social Media channels.
  • Posting content to social platforms.
  • Assisting with Merchandising our online shop.

Sales Associate

As a Sales Associate, you ensure that everyone who enters The Cross has a “Feel Good, Happy Place” experience. You are in charge of opening the doors and welcoming our guests. Making them feel taken care of, excited about the products and services we have to offer. You engage them in conversations and introduce them to our products, ensuring they leave happy and satisfied. 

We believe that treating our customers like friends and family is vital to our success. 

To maintain this, we need the right people to  execute our core values each and every day, in each and every interaction. From answering the phone to facilitating sales, to helping mop up a mess, the goal is the sales floor running in an efficient and profitable manner. All this to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and to continually exceed our client’s expectations.

  • Think creatively, we’re always looking for great ideas to make things better.Find and complete tasks to help keep the shop looking its best.
  • Build relationships and take the time to really get to know your team & clientele.Collaborate with the team to complete the store Opening/Closing tasks

  • Be a strong brand leader by suggesting products showing an aesthetic compatibility with The Cross signature look. Maintain a visually enticing shop that is neat, clean and organized to ensure top sales.
  • Pay attention to details - it’s all in the details (and we have some beautiful ones!).Answer the phone and direct calls as needed. Help clients or take messages for co-workers who are not available or in store to take their own calls 
  • Excellent organization skills.  
  • Manage your time well, there’s always lots to do.
  • Creative and calm about problem solving when things get tricky.
  • Communication! Excellent, continual communication is key for our staff and clients.

Host/Cashier 

The Host/Cashier is the first person who welcomes our loyal customers and the last person to say goodbye as they walk out with their purchase. You will become an expert in the products and services offered by The Cross all while contributing to a beautiful and efficient work environment.  As the Host of our Cross “home” we trust you with making each client experience professional, warm & friendly!

 

ALL IN A DAY’S WORK

  • Welcome clients and help clients in finding the right products
  • Find and complete tasks to help keep the shop looking its best.
  • Ensure that all clients are accurately  added into the mailing list, including their name, phone number, email address.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete the store Opening/Closing tasks
  • Assist in training new staff members to work as cashiers (if needed).
  • Maintain knowledge of store inventory, sales or promotions and events. 
  • Work as a “concierge” directing clients to local restaurants, businesses etc. as needed. 
  • Maintain a visually enticing shop that is neat, clean and organized to ensure top sales.
  • Offer customers carry-out service at the completion of transactions.
  • Answer the phone and direct calls as needed. Help clients or take messages for co-workers who are not available or in store to take their own calls 
  • Participate in training meetings

Product Coordinator

It’s the hand-selected products chosen by our Creative Director for The Cross that create the unique experience our clients have come to love. As a Product Coordinator, you are the first to touch and see these products! You are responsible for making sure we’ve received the correct product, of the best quality, and for getting it “floor ready” for all our customers to experience.

You will be working behind the scenes to meet the high expectations our clients have for excellent customer service and beautiful products. Our stockroom is a fast paced environment, with lots to accomplish each day. You will need to be organized, able to follow direction, good with time management and be great at problem solving to do well in this role. 

 

ALL IN A DAY’S WORK

· Receive, unload and unpack incoming inventory with efficiency
· Picking, packing and shipping online orders with accuracy and care
· Liaise with the Merchandising team and plan store displays on a daily basis
· Facilitate client pickups and deliveries from our store and warehouse
· Communicate updates on products and deliveries to both the Product and Sales team
· Sort and put away received merchandise with direction from the Merchandiser and Product Manager
· Assist with inventory counts from time to time
· Assist with stockroom and warehouse organization, labeling pallets, shelves, and boxes as directed
· Perform daily general housekeeping to keep the stockroom/warehouse organized, clean and orderly at all times (sweeping, breaking down boxes, etc)
· Safety first! Proper safety procedures in the warehouse and store are important

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Are a team player with a positive attitude
· Have excellent communication and organizational skills - Continual communication is key for our staff and clients
· Pay attention to details - it’s all in the details
· Listen well and follow instructions
· Manage your time efficiently, there’s always lots to do. This is a fast-paced, fun working environment
· Can work independently but also, within a team environment
· Have an interest in store merchandising and displays 
· Able to perform repetitive tasks with hands for extended periods of time

· Adaptable and can quickly adjust to changing priorities based on needs of the business
· Able to lift, carry and maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
· Proficient in computerized systems and other technologies as required
· Creative and calm about problem solving when things get tricky
· Think creatively, we’re always looking for great ideas to make things better
· Good at building relationships and taking the time to get to know the team
· Enjoy working within a beautifully curated and design based retail environment
· Previous experience in retail is a plus!

If you are fluent in English, able to work independently, detail oriented, well organized and computer literate, there is potential for growth based on the company's needs in this role.
